Job summary

Township of Union Public Schools in New Jersey is seeking dedicated Substitute Teachers to support classroom instruction in the absence of a Classroom Teacher.

Responsibilities include assisting with instruction, following lesson plans, maintaining routines, and aiding students in understanding subject matter. Compensation is $160–$170 per day depending on credentials, with non-credentialed applicants not considered.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid NJ CE, CEAS or Standard Teacher Certification, or NJ Substitute Credential.
• Knowledge and understanding of student learning standards.
• Great communication skills.
• Strong classroom management skills.

• Ensure regular classroom routines are followed
• Follows and teaches lesson plans
• Aides students in understanding subject matter

Requirements:

• Valid NJ CE, CEAS or Standard Teacher Certification; or
• • Valid NJ Substitute Credential
• Knowledge and understanding of student learning standards
• Great communication skills
• Strong classroom management skills

Rate of Pay:

• $160.00 per day for Substitutes with a substitute credential
• $170.00 per day for Substitutes with a teaching certification

Applicants who do not have a valid Substitute Credential or Teacher Certification will not be considered.
