Job summary

Kelly Education in Jasper, AL is hiring substitute teachers for Jasper City Schools. No prior experience is required. Substitute teachers fill in for regularly assigned teachers and help keep students on track.

As a substitute, you can build mentoring relationships, gain classroom leadership experience, and enjoy a flexible schedule. Training and orientation on district policies are provided, along with weekly pay and access to professional development.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 19 years of age for elementary and middle school assignments.
• 21 years of age for high school assignments.

Responsibilities

• Assume duties of the classroom teacher in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies.
• Build a classroom environment that’s conducive to learning and appropriate to the ability and interests of students.
• For long-term assignments, develop lesson plans, as well as build, administer, and grade tests and assignments.
