City of Lincoln in Parker, CO, is seeking a Substitute Teacher for K-8 to support Christ-centered learning. The role is part-time and non-exempt, paying about $23/hour under the local school schedule.
The substitute will follow existing curricula, maintain classroom order, reinforce Biblical worldview, and collaborate with the grade team to ensure consistent instruction and student engagement when regular teachers are absent.

Job Description
Job Purpose
This position is dedicated to the spiritual and academic development of our students on a limited time/substitute basis. This teacher is called upon to help students see, understand and appreciate how God moves within this academic discipline(s). This person is also called to help establish a Christ-centered environment, provide students with an example of Christian love toward God and others, and help nurture and develop our students’ relationships with Jesus Christ.
Qualifications
Strong academic background, possessing at least a Bachelor’s Degree in education.
Experience teaching in a classroom is a plus.
Responsibilities
Work with existing curriculum to nurture and develop each student’s relationship with Jesus Christ.
Teach classes in accordance with regular teacher’s curriculum.
Work closely with same grade team teacher.
Maintain professional attitude and appearance.
Skills
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information in a clear and engaging manner.
Ability to maintain an ordered classroom in which learning can occur.
Duties
Follow the SCS Emergency Safety and Security Guide
Implement teacher designed lesson plans per the teacher’s instructions
Encourage student work ethic
Document completion of activities and communicate to absent teacher
Follow classroom schedule
Support the school wide schedule through prompt attention and attendance at scheduled activities

The employee will frequently stand; sit; the employee will regularly walk; use hands to finger, handle,or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.

Specific vision abilities required for this job include the following: close vision, distance vision,peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
The employee is occasionally in outdoor weather conditions.
