Job Description

We are seeking qualified teachers for day-to-day substitute andlong-term substitute positions for the 2026-2027 school year. These positions are 7.75 hours per day.

To be considered, applicants must have a valid Washington State teaching certificate.

The daily rate of pay for substitute teachers is$210 for a full-day and early release day;$105for a half-day; $260 for Fridays marked as Learning Improvement Time (LIT).

These positionswill remain open until filled for the2026-27 school year.

JOB TITLE : SUBSTITUTE TEACHER

JOB SUMMARY: Plan, prepare and deliver a quality instructional program based upon state standards, district curriculum, and effective instruction to students with diverse learning needs.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Recognize individual student learning needs and develop strategies to address those needs for the purpose of promoting individual achievement.

  • Successful and recent experience as teacher.

  • Student cultural and economic diversity experience, preferred.
