Qualifications

• Education: Pay Level 03 – Bachelor’s Degree, no experience required. All prospective applicants must be qualified, certifiable teacher. Refer to BIE Job Category Standards for additional qualification requirements and substitutions for education. (see https://doe.sd.gov/certification/)
• Physical Requirement: Good distant vision in one eye and ability to read printed material the size of typewritten characters (glasses permitted). Ability to hear conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid, is required. Amputation of an arm, hand, leg, or foot will not disqualify an applicant, though use of satisfactory prosthesis may be necessary. Applicant must possess mental and emotional stability.
