Tennessee School for the Blind seeks a Substitute Teacher (60 credit hours or less than a bachelor's degree) to support daily classroom instruction under the supervision of the educational administrative team. Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED.
• 60 credit hours or less than a bachelor's degree; two years of college or a Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report to the educational office each morning upon arrival and each afternoon after dismissal.
• Follow lesson plans and assume duties of classroom teacher or educational assistant as assigned.
• Familiarize self with emergency procedures and student medical needs.
• Maintain normal classroom routines to support a positive learning environment.
• Supervise students at all times and report major discipline issues immediately.
• Protect confidentiality of all students and discuss observations only with administrators.
• Perform background verification and comply with fingerprinting and checks as required.
