Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma
• No professional work experience required
• CDE substitute authorization or teaching license
• Basic knowledge of office equipment and Microsoft Office
• Basic classroom management and planning skills
• Intermediate verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to support programs to increase student achievement
• Ability to work as a team and understand student diversity

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in large, small, and one-on-one settings
• Create a classroom environment maximizing instructional opportunity, supervise the behavior and well-being of students in the classroom and all educational settings, and administer discipline when appropriate
• Collaborate with teachers, support personnel, administrators, and colleagues to enhance instruction and improve student outcomes
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested
