Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong command of both written and spoken English.
• Ability to communicate, listen to and understand information presented in writing and speech.

Responsibilities

• Provides classroom coverage for a teacher in the event of absence; follows lesson plans and notes.
• Maintains knowledge of emergency procedures (fire alarms, evacuations).
• Monitors students to ensure safety and appropriate conduct.
• Supervises learning activities and assists students in class and small groups.
• Evaluates students' work and reinforces skills per instructional guidelines.
• Monitors students' progress and informs the teacher of learning gaps.
• Enforces school policies and rules governing students.
• Records time using the designated time management system (e.g., Paylocity).
• Performs additional duties such as recess, morning/afternoon supervision, and lunch duty.
