Job summary

Campbell Union High School District (CUHSD) is seeking substitute teachers to support instructional programs across campuses. Positions involve implementing lesson plans, providing small-group and one-on-one instruction, and coordinating with teachers to track student progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide Instructional support by following curriculum and lesson plans; lead small group work, 1:1 support and class instruction.
• Consult with teachers and staff to provide instructional, assessment and behavioral support to help students meet academic goals.
• Monitor students through weekly progress reports, take attendance and document daily notes.
• Follow school policies and maintain orderly classrooms and work areas.
• Provide other supports for students as needed

Job description

Current Rates

• Starting daily rate is $210/per day; under 3 hours is $105/per day.
• Long term assignment rate is $275/per day.
• Rover assignment rate is $275/per day.

Performance Responsibilities for Substitute Teachers may include (but are not limited to)

• Provide Instructional support by adhering to the curriculum and lesson plans assigned by assisting with the understanding of assignments, information being presented and homework by leading small group work, one-on-one support and class instruction
• Consultation with teacher(s) and other campus staff to assist in providing instructional, assessment and behavioral support, which will allow students with targeted needs meet their academic goals
• Monitoring of students through weekly progress reports, taking attendance and documenting daily notes
• Compliance: Follow school policies including compliance with all school regulations and policies, overseeing students outside of the classroom, ensuring classroom and work areas are kept clean and orderly and overseeing normal classroom rhythms and activities
• Provide other supports for students as needed
