Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking substitute teachers who demonstrate a mature Christian faith and active church involvement. Ideal candidates will have strong communication and interpersonal skills to teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis and to model a caring, structured classroom environment.

Responsibilities include completing substitute training, implementing provided lesson plans, maintaining records, and communicating with teachers and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Must have mature Christian faith aligned with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records for each class.
• Keep a clean, attractive, well-ordered classroom.
• Know procedures for emergencies.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and coordinate duties.
• Communicate with the teacher and LifeWise ambassador in the community.

Job Description

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
