Job summary

Lehigh Career & Technical Institute is seeking day-to-day substitute instructors for Career & Technical and Academic programs. You will follow prepared lesson plans and provide a safe, informed learning environment for high school students.

PA teaching certification is preferred; prior teaching experience is beneficial. Responsibilities include delivering instruction within your comfort background, maintaining classroom order, and supporting students throughout the School Year 2026-2027

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow prepared lesson plans within Career & Technical or Academic programs.
• Valid PA teaching certification to provide a safe and informed environment.
• Previous teaching experience is preferred.

Job description

Position Title: Substitute Teacher
Accepting applications for day-to-day substitute instructors (Career & Technical and Academic). Responsibilities include following prepared lesson plans within any Career and Technical Program that the substitute has a comfortable working background in, and/or Academic Instructors with valid PA teaching certification to provide a safe and informed teaching environment for students enrolled at the Lehigh Career & Technical Institute. Ability to work with high school students required, previous teaching experience preferred. Substitute Instructor rate for School Year 2026-2027 is $140-$190 per day.
