Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time substitute teacher who exemplifies a mature Christian faith and active church involvement. You will teach LifeWise classes as needed, implement provided lesson plans, and maintain a safe, engaging classroom while adhering to policies.

Attendance, communication with volunteers, and coordination with teachers are essential parts of the role. Ideal candidates demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, and are committed to LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom
• Know procedures for emergency situations
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties
• Communicate with the teacher
