Job summary

ReNEW Schools seeks qualified substitute teachers to join our district. The role requires you to meet one of the following: a minimum of 36 semester hours from an accredited college or university, or completion of a 20‑hour department approved substitute teacher training.

Job description

• Must have completed a minimum of 36 semester hours of credit from a regionally accredited, academic degree-granting, college or university, or successfully completed a 20 hour department approved substitute teacher training.
• Substitute teachers provide a valuable service to the students of our district. Substitute teachers are expected to follow the regular teachers’ prepared lesson plans. The district expects the substitute teacher to teach the students the material to be presented in the lesson plans. Substitute teaching is not to be viewed as a supervision/classroom monitor position. Substitute teaching is a teaching position.
