Pay Grade: $40/hour

Pay Type: Hourly

Reports To: Executive Director, Special Education

Minimum Qualifications: Valid Georgia Educator Certification, preferably in Special Education. At least five years of teaching experience in a special education area. Knowledge of special education due process, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Chair and facilitate IEP meetings.
2. Manage educational programs for students with disabilities.
3. Ensure compliance with IDEA and Georgia regulations.
4. Provide training on due process, records management, and data collection.
5. Coordinate special education transportation.
6. Support transition and testing accommodations for students.
7. Assist in scheduling and data collection related to IEP goals.
8. Establish positive relationships with parents and staff.
9. Maintain necessary licenses and follow work schedules.
10. Participate in professional development and stay updated on best practices.
11. Follow safety procedures and legal requirements.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
