SUBSTITUTE Special Education Aide

Multiple Positions (McKinley Elementary, Poland Middle School, Poland High School)

2025-2026 School Year

Compensation: Hourly

Education/Degree: High School Diploma or equivalent

Job Goal: The substitute classroom educational aide will function as the assistant to the intervention specialist and the general education teacher in the absence of the classroom aide in order to facilitate the implementation of the IEP within small groups and individual settings.

General Qualifications

• Complies with drug free workplace rules and board policies
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Demonstrates aptitude and knowledge of the position's demands
• Willingness to obtain Educational Aide license

Job Specific Qualifications

• Desire and dedication to work with students individually or in small groups and provide instructional support for the classroom teacher.
• Must be personable and able to work well with staff and students.
