Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District Central Office in Starkville, Mississippi seeks a Substitute School Nurse to support student health services.

The nurse will perform health assessments, coordinate with families and staff, manage medications and respond to illnesses under district protocol for an immediate start.

Competenze

• Qualified to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Mississippi and is licensed by the Mississippi Board of Nursing and is certified in CPR.

Job Description

Promotes and protects the optimal health status of school age children; provides health assessments such as vision, hearing, dental, and scoliosis as well as EPSDT screening and initiates referrals to parents, school personnel or community resources on abnormal findings; provides treatment for minor illness and injury within the standard of nursing care and school nurse protocol as per school district standing orders and parental guidelines; administer daily medication that must be given during school hours with physician's order and signed parental permission form.

Minimum Requirements: Qualified to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Mississippi and is licensed by the Mississippi Board of Nursing and is certified in CPR.
