Qualifications

• Knowledge of procedures and laws governing safe operation of a school bus.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school officials, parents, staff and students.
• Completion of Bus Driver Training Program and possession of a valid Virginia CDL.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a daily pre-trip safety inspection of the vehicle.
• Maintain assigned schedule and discharge students at authorized stops.
• Transport students to and from schools and events, including evenings and nights as assigned.
• Follow designated routes and observe safety regulations at all times.
• Notify authorities in case of bus breakdown or schedule deviation.
