Compensation: $24.00 - $28.00 / hour

Job Overview

Join Our Team as a Substitute School-Based Behavior Technician! Opportunities are available in Glendale, Pasadena, and Burbank. This part‑time, on‑call position requires a minimum daily coverage of 6:30‑7 a.m. (Mon‑Fri) with active shifts typically from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Some schools may require 7:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

A Day in the Life
  • Stay on‑call to cover partner school districts and ensure students never miss in‑classroom support.
  • Support a range of students and schools as day‑to‑day needs arise.
  • Apply Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in a school setting.
  • Provide behavioral support in the classroom (elementary through high school), either generally or 1‑on‑1 with students.
  • Analyze environmental factors that may inhibit a student’s access to the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school professionals to customize interventions based on each student’s skills, needs, interests, developmental profile, preferences, and setting.
  • Receive ongoing training and supervision from a BCBA or Masters‑level ABA Supervisor.
  • Help students achieve their greatest possible academic, social, and emotional success in school.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications
    • High school diploma or equivalent PLUS completed college courses (60 units) OR an Associate’s degree.
    • 6+ months of ABA experience.
    • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and active auto insurance.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and professionalism to work effectively with students, teachers, and others in a school setting.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • ABA experience in a classroom setting.
    • Bachelor’s degree.
    • CPR certification in both pediatrics and adults.
    • Experience managing a wide variety of maladaptive behaviors, including non‑compliance, elopement, verbal and physical aggression, and self‑injurious behaviors.
    • Commitment to a minimum of one full school year as a School Behavior Technician.
    • Bilingual ability.
