Poway Unified School District seeks a Substitute/Limited Term Publications Technician to support the Publications Department. The role operates high-speed reprographic and finishing equipment to meet district printing needs and deadlines.

You will prepare and proof materials, manage paper and ink specs, use word-processing and graphics software, and coordinate with staff to resolve print issues. This on-site position emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required, related coursework preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience operating digital reproduction equipment.
• Ability to operate and maintain printing equipment and perform basic repairs.

Responsabilités

• Operate high-speed reprographic and peripheral equipment for district printing needs.
• Monitor production runs, ensure paper weights, sizes and inks meet specs.
• Operate finishing equipment (collator, drill, cutter, folder, stitcher, binder, etc.).
• Communicate with staff to resolve print issues and provide status updates.
• Proofread and prepare work for extended production runs; maintain confidential materials.
• Prepare work using standard text/graphics software; manage records and supplies.
