Acelero Learning, Inc. in Delaware invites you to join as a Substitute Preschool Teacher to support a Head Start classroom for 3–4-year-olds. This role covers classrooms with 14–20 children and works with one other teacher as needed at various locations throughout the county.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Physical exam and background checks required.
• Ability to support early childhood education for ages 3–4.

Responsibilities

• Follows the curriculum during assigned coverage.
• Plans and implements learning experiences to develop literacy, print, and numeracy; grows language and problem‑solving skills.
• Maintains a safe, healthy learning environment with appropriate supervision.
• Supports social and emotional development using positive guidance.
• Interacts with children in a supportive manner.
• Involves families in Head Start programs and strengthens child-family connections.
• Works with co-teacher and center staff to run the classroom smoothly.
• Follows all Acelero Learning policies on health, safety, and nutrition.
• Reports on time and communicates schedule changes to the Center Director and Learning Specialist.
• Attends required meetings, events, and trainings.

The Substitute Teacher will work collaboratively with one other teacher to ensure the successful operation of a classroom with a total of 14 to 20 children.
