Job summary

ESS in Meadville, PA is seeking Substitute Paraprofessionals to support Crawford Central School District classrooms. The role assists teachers, reinforces instruction, and supervises students in various settings, including cafeteria and field trips.

The paraprofessional will work with students with special needs, following IEP/504 plans and school-wide procedures. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with state clearances and health screenings; flexible scheduling is common in ESS

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
PA Act 24 Arrest/Conviction Report & Certification required.
PA Act 34 State Police Clearance required.
Act 114 Federal Criminal History Clearance required.
Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance required.
Act 168 Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release required.
Tuberculosis Test/Physical required.

Responsibilities

Provide instructional reinforcement for individual students or small groups of students.
Assist teacher with classroom management and general supervision of the class.
Assist with administrative duties such as setting up equipment and preparing materials.
Supervise students in the cafeteria, schoolyard, specials, hallways, on field trips, and/or during before and after school programs.
Attend to students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs.
Support students with special needs by following provisions specified in their IEPs/504 Plans.
Perform other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and school administration.
