Job summary

Marshall Public Schools is seeking Substitute Paraprofessionals to fill positions district-wide. This role allows for a flexible work schedule and competitive pay at $17.10 per hour. Substitute Paraprofessionals can access assignments via Frontline Central 24/7, choose their preferred schools and times, and demonstrate their affection for children.

The ideal candidates will have a High School diploma and must be attentive and understanding of child development, particularly in supporting children with disabilities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Alert and attentive with a demonstrated interest in working with children.
• Ability to engage with children with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Access assignments via Frontline Central Absence Management System.
• Choose schools and times for work assignments.
• Interact with students and staff in various working conditions.

Skills

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent, alert and attentive, understanding of child development, oral and written communication skills, demonstrated affection for children, demonstrate interest in working with children with disabilities.

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stoop, reach, stand, walk, lift, pull, push, grasp, walk, hear, see and use repetitive motions. The employee may be frequently required to lift and/or move at least 50 pounds of materials, or lift students from wheelchairs, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as to read handwritten or typed material and the ability to adjust focus. The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff. Inside and/or outside climactic environment: occasionally subjected to extremes of temperature.
