Fox C 6 School District is seeking a Substitute Nurse to support student health services in Arnold, MO. The role is non-exempt and reports to the Principal and Director of Nursing.

The nurse will conduct health screenings, administer medications, maintain health records, coordinate with staff, and arrange substitutes when needed.

Candidates must be a Missouri RN, graduate from an accredited nursing school, MO registration, CPR/AED certified, and eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Missouri.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Currently registered as a Missouri nurse.
• CPR/AED certification.

Responsabilités

• Conducts school health services including assisting the school doctor and in physical examinations, and tests for vision, hearing and scoliosis.
• Maintains up-to-date cumulative health records on all students and reports to the school principal those students in compliance with health requirements.
• Administers medication and first aid as necessary per established procedures.
• Notifies parents of students needing additional medical and dental services.
• Participates with school staff in developing and implementing a total school health program.
• Prepares and submits necessary reports in a timely manner.
• Participates in in-service training programs.
• Requisitions supplies through the Director of Nursing.
• Keeps records of students and staff seen or treated by the school nurse.
• Advises school personnel on health matters for students.
• Arranges substitutes when nursing staff is absent.
• Schedules school doctor visits for physicals.

STATUS:As Needed, Substitute; Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO:Principal, Director of Nursing

POSITION SUMMARY:To provide the fullest possible educational opportunity for each district student by minimizing absence due to illness and creating a climate of health and well-being in the District Schools.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION

• RN in the State of Missouri
• Graduate from an accredited nursing school.
• Currently registered in the State of Missouri.
• CPR/AED certified

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conducts school health services including assisting the school doctor and in physical examinations, and tests for vision, hearing and scoliosis.
• Maintains up-to-date cumulative health records on all students and reports to the school principal those students in compliance with health requirements.
• Administers medication and first aid as necessary per established procedures.
• Makes notification to parents of students who may be in need of additional medical and dental services.
