Modesto City Schools seeks candidates for a paraprofessional role in Head Start/Preschool programs. Requires six months of experience with preschool-age students and meeting education/unit requirements.

Six (6) months experience working with preschool age students; depending on the position requirement may vary. Head Start requires twelve (12) units of Child Development or Early Childhood Education core units. Preschool requires six (6) units of Child Development or Early Childhood Education core units. Graduation from high school or General Education Development (GED) Certificate or California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE) Certificate; completion of forty-eight (48) units of higher education study or obtained an AA degree or successfully passed the Modesto City Schools Highly Qualified Paraprofessional Assessment Exam; must have an Associate Teacher Permit or be enrolled in a program leading to an AA degree in Child Development.
