Position Goal

To provide well prepared and nutritious meals in support of the students and staff of Danville Community Schools

Performance Responsibilities

Supervision of Programs

• Maintains positive attitude toward all students and staff.
• Prepares or assists in the preparation of a variety of foods, following standardized recipes and menus, price schedules, and portion controls in accordance with Department work production standards.
• Sets up food serving lines and/or steam tables and serves meals, meal components and beverages.
• Stores food and supplies as directed; assists in taking inventories.
• Accepts and counts money, tickets, or tokens for foods and beverages served; records transactions; maintains accountability of sales.
• Washes, sanitizes, and stores dishes and utensils; scrubs and sanitizes counters, tables, mops floors and disposes of wastes properly.
• Operates and cleans all kitchen equipment.
• Keeps work area clean.
• Follows safety and sanitation rules at all times when handling food and using equipment.
• Adheres to safety regulations/guidelines
