Job summary

Right At School is hiring for after-school programs to inspire a love of learning and provide safe, engaging environments for children. You will organize lesson materials, deliver a dynamic curriculum, and support homework while guiding positive behavior.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service, team collaboration, and at least one year with children under 13. A HS diploma and six ECE units are preferred, with CPR/First Aid and state clearances required.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Works well in a team environment.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
• Completion of a minimum of six (6) units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development preferred
• Current CPR and First Aid certificate
• Ability to lift 25lbs
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living
• Meet state-specific requirements: LIVE Scan fingerprint, Mandated Reporter training, Health Certificate with Negative TB Test

Responsibilities

• Model positive guidance and classroom management to ensure safety and engagement.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff and school personnel.

Pay Range: $19-$22/hour (dependent on education & experience)

Schedule: *Starting in the Fall* Mo-Thu 2:00pm-6:00pm, Friday 12:45pm-6:00pm

You’ll Drive The Mission By

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, as well as document attendance, incidents, and other observation
• Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school-day learning in a meaningful way
• Using your coursework training and our in-person training, model positive guidance, and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play
• Excellent communication skills with varied audiences including children, parents, staff, and school personnel
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety and well-being and attention of all children
• Meets regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability

Ideal Candidates Will Have The Following
