Job summary

The West Fargo Public Schools district is seeking a Substitute Custodian to help keep district buildings and grounds clean, safe, and well-maintained. This on-call position reports to the Custodian Services Manager and supports the District's Maintenance and Custodial department.

Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, equipment upkeep, and adherence to district standards. Prior custodial or school-setting experience is preferred; a high school diploma or GED is typical.

Salary: Salary is a set $17.70/hour

SUMMARY: The Substitute Custodian ensures the district buildings and grounds are regularly and thoroughly cleaned, equipment properly maintained, safety standards upheld, and school grounds are maintained to the standards of the district.

Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred.
• Prior custodial experience is preferred.
• Prior experience working in a school setting is preferred.

Language Skills

• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondences in the English language.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally, expressively, and reactively.
