Lumberton Independent School District seeks a Substitute Custodian to support daily cleaning across campuses in Lumberton, TX. This part-time role requires reliability and the ability to work independently.

Immediate start and a flexible schedule are required. You will perform routine cleaning in bathrooms, classrooms, cafeterias, hallways, gymnasiums, offices and entrances, including trash removal, dusting, sweeping and mopping, with frequent attention to safety and campus standards.

Responsibilities

• Bathrooms: Wipe sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors; sweep/mop floors; remove trash.
• Classrooms: Wipe desks; sweep/mop; remove trash; disinfect door knobs.
• Locker-rooms: Wipe sinks, mirrors; sweep/mop; remove trash; disinfect areas.
• Cafeteria: Remove trash; wipe tables; sweep; mop as needed.
• Hallways: Remove/trash; sweep daily; spot-mop daily; wipe water fountains.
• Building entrances: Clean windows/doors; spot-mop; keep entrances tidy daily.
• Gyms: Sweep daily; keep bleachers clean; spot-mop as needed.
• Offices: Remove trash; vacuum/sweep; dust furniture.

Job Description

Custodial Substitute Duties:

Bathrooms:

• Wipe down sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, hand dryers
• Sweep and mop floors and around toilets and sinks
• Take out trash and replace trash bag

Classrooms:

• Wipe down student desk
• Sweep floors and spot mop as needed
• Remove trash and replace trash bag
• Disinfect door knobs and other areas as needed

Locker-rooms :

• Wipe down sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors
• Sweep and mop dressing rooms and bathrooms
• Remove trash and replace trash bag
• Disinfect areas as needed

Cafeteria :

• Remove trash
• Wipe down tables
• Sweep floors as needed
• Spot mop as needed

Hallways :

• Remove or pick-up trash as needed
• Sweep daily as needed
• Spot-mop daily as needed
• Wipe down water fountains daily

Building entrances:

• Clean windows and doors inside and out daily
• Spot-mop as needed Especially on rainy days
• Keep entrance areas swept off and trash picked up daily

Gyms:

• Sweep daily with dust mop
• Keep trash picked up in and around bleachers
• Spot mop as needed

Offices:

• Remove trash and replace bag
• Vacuum floors and or sweep as needed
• Dust and or wipe down furniture as needed
