Job summary

West Virginia K-12 Jobs is seeking a Bus Operator/Transportation/Substitute Bus Operator for work in the United States. A valid CDL (Class A or B) or permit is required, with willingness to obtain endorsements and complete passenger and school bus endorsements.

Applicants must pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol tests, obtain a DOT physical, and complete 40 hours of classroom training plus WV School Bus Operators Training. CPR/First Aid certification is required.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED certificate.
• Applicant must complete an application with personal and reference information as well as driving and criminal record data.
• Must possess a Class A or Class B CDL or have a valid Class A or Class B learning permit and be willing to complete passenger and school bus endorsements.
• Must complete pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.
• Must complete 40 hours of classroom training and the WV School Bus Operators Training Program.
• Must obtain a DOT physical.
• Complete certification in CPR and First Aid.
• Able to work safely as determined by safety and health physical capacity testing.
• Possess ability to work with students of all ages.
• Ability to communicate and work as part of a team.
