Bethlehem Central School District is continuously seeking applicants for Bus Attendant vacancies. Candidates will be trained before an official Bus Attendant Position. Training applicants for Bus Attendants will be compensated at the Board of Education-approved rate on the District’s regular biweekly payroll cycle with the understanding that they will remain on the District payroll for a minimum of 90 calendar days after the satisfactory completion of training.
This is routine work involving responsibility for the supervision of the loading and unloading of buses and for stopping traffic on the main highway twice a day to allow the safe exit of buses from school grounds onto the highway. This class differs from School Crossing Guard in that there is no responsibility for escorting children across an intersection. Does related work as required.
