Job summary

Blessed Sacrament Huguenot Catholic School in Powhatan, VA is seeking substitute teachers for the 2026-2027 school year. Blessed Sacrament Huguenot Catholic School is seeking substitute teachers for the 2026-2027 school year. The purpose of the substitute teacher is to ensure the continuation of instruction in the absence of the regular teacher or teacher assistant. The substitute teacher provides instruction, encourages student progress, and manages the learning environment. The substitute teacher must be able to communicate, listen, and work well with others in a team
environment. The successful candidate must be an enthusiastic role model who is passionate about sharing the Catholic faith.

Requirements

This position requires at a minimum a high school diploma, and experience working in an educational setting is highly preferred. Successful candidates will possess a strong commitment to Catholic education, superior communication skills both written and spoken, superior interpersonal, organizational, and managerial skills, enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and flexibility, and are hardworking, collaborative team players.
