Zusammenfassung

TIC - The Industrial Company in Northern Kentucky is seeking entry-level workers to assist skilled craftspersons under supervision. You will learn to select pipe, conduit, and related materials according to job specifications and help install electrical components on job sites.

This role requires outdoor work in all weather, the ability to climb and work at heights, and willingness to overtime when needed. Training will cover safety rules and hands-on tasks across heavy equipment and structure

Qualifikationen

• Must have all safety rules and project regulations.
• Must understand electrical hazards associated with transmission and distribution voltage substation construction.
• Expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft).
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required.
• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules.
• Performs other duties as required.

Aufgaben

• Learn to select type and size of pipe, conduit, and related material according to job specification.
• Assist skilled craftsman to measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit.
• Moves materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work sites.
• Disassemble malfunctioning instruments or test equipment and examine mechanisms and circuitry for defects.
• Assist with replacement or repair of defective parts, using hand tools.
• Learn to install, maintain, test and repair electrical systems including conduits, cables, wires, and related equipment.
• Assist with opening switches or attach grounding devices to remove electrical hazards.
• Learn to identify defective sectionalizing devices, circuit breakers, fuses, voltage regulators, transformers, switches, relays, or wiring using wiring diagrams and electrical-testing instruments.
• Learn to operate a variety of vehicles and large heavy equipment.
• Load gravel, dirt, and sand; smooth and grade roads, spread rock and gravel.
• Assist workers in unloading, positioning and installing columns and beams according to plans or supervisors' instructions.
