Michels Power, Inc. is seeking an Associate Construction Project Manager – Substation to support planning, organizing, and implementing project management principles on substation projects.

You will collaborate with field crews, engineers, and utility stakeholders to deliver reliable grid infrastructure. The role emphasizes strong written and verbal communication, independent work, and the ability to travel for long-term onsite assignments while maintaining schedules and budgets in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
• 0–3 years of related experience (substation, electrical, or utility construction preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with job costing or estimating software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all safety policies.
• Assist Project Manager in managing projects under direct supervision.
• Support development and tracking of project performance metrics, budgets, and cost controls.
• Assist with cost tracking, labor tracking, scheduling, and reporting.
• Coordinate with field crews, subcontractors, engineers, and utility stakeholders.
• Support material procurement, submittals, and equipment tracking.
• Assist with subcontractor management and contract compliance.
• Maintain project documentation including cost reporting, billing, scheduling, and budgeting records.
