Job summary

PacifiCorp is seeking a Substation Operations Maintenance Worker to support our substations in Utah. You will assist crews with maintenance, inspections, oil sampling, and safe handling of materials and tools in substation environments.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 pounds, work at heights or in confined spaces, and working inside electrical substations. You must obtain Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement within six months and crane certifications within

Substation Operations Maintenance Worker

Responsibilities

• Assist Substation crews as needed
• Understand and perform general maintenance and cleanup of substation facilities and property as directed
• Understand and perform substation inspections and documentation activities that accompany these duties for all substation equipment.
• Understand and perform equipment oil samples as directed
• Transport materials and equipment for substations group as needed
• Physical requirements may include working in confined spaces and in elevated work areas such as heights from ladders, structures, scaffolds, buckets and boom trucks.
• May work independently or with others, occasionally work long hours during emergency conditions, and be responsible for tools, test equipment, and vehicles

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or proof of equivalent
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to work at heights or in confined spaces
• Must be able to work inside electrical substations
• Must have or be able to obtain a Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement within six (6) months of starting the position.
• Must have or be able to obtain company required fixed & swing cab crane certifications within one (1) year of starting the position.

The successful candidate must be able to live or move within a reasonable distance to the reporting work location.
