Pike Corporation is hiring a Substation Ground Technician in Milton, FL. The role involves entry-level, non-exempt work in construction, maintenance, and repair of substation equipment and systems, including working in confined spaces and elevated areas.
Travel to Florida and other states is required. Applicants must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, obtain a CDL within 6 months, provide own tools and safety boots, and be willing to work long hours during emergencies.
Substation Ground Technician is an entry level, non-exempt position in the construction, maintenance and repair of substation equipment / systems. This position requires work in confined spaces and in elevated work areas, and works with various pieces of construction equipment specific to the trade. A Substation Ground Technician may work independently or with others, occasionally work long hours during emergency conditions. This position works at various locations. The position may also be required to travel to another state depending on customer demands.
