Job summary

HDR is seeking a Substation Engineering Manager to join a national team of Power Delivery professionals. Lead production, staff development and project management while coordinating marketing, client relations and internal policies. Expect collaboration across sections and with national directors to drive growth and client value in a full-time Portland, ME role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience.
  • Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments.
  • Good leadership and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee production section operations including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing support.
  • May serve as Assistant Project Manager and assist in production on projects in addition to management responsibilities.
  • Coordinate administrative responsibilities for section staff and lead services with other sections.
  • Involvement in marketing planning, proposals and interviews.
  • Directly engage with industrial and public clients in marketing, project production and related issues.
  • Ensure work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated through proactive project management system.
  • Implement, monitor and support company policy.
  • Assist in the selection, training and development of technical personnel.
  • Collaborate with National Directors and marketing staff on local and national marketing and production efforts.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

HDR is looking for a Substation Engineering Manager to join our growing and nationally ranked team of Power Delivery professionals.

In the role of Substation Engineering Manager, we'll count on you to:

  • Assist in the responsibility for operations of production section including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing support
  • May function as an Assistant Project Manager and assist in responsibility for production on projects in addition to management responsibilities

  • Work cooperatively with National Directors and marketing staff in local and national marketing and production efforts
  • Perform other duties as needed

  • Preference given to local candidates
  • Experience working for an A/E/C consulting firm

Providence, RI: $115,469 - $164,955; Rocky Hill, CT: $120,967-$172,810; Boston, MA: $131,964 - 188,520; Portland, ME: $104,472 - $149,245.
