Qualifications

• BS in electrical engineering from a recognized institution.
• Minimum five years of substation engineering experience.
• PE registration preferred for all; required for Senior positions.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Utility consulting experience a plus.
• Strong client focus and customer service.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of NEC, NESC, and IEEE standards.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with project ownership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and work on Power Grid Utility and Substation Engineering projects.
• Support or lead substation engineering project teams.
• Develop General Arrangements, Equipment Plans, Elevations and Sections.
• Design Control House Layouts, grounding, conduits and cables.
• Create Bills of Materials and cable schedules.
• Review designs for code compliance, good design practice and constructability.
• Provide construction support including site queries and meetings.
• Maintain project documentation and as-built data.
• Mentor developing engineers within the department.
