Job summary

Kintec Search is seeking an experienced Protection & Control engineer to design protection systems for utility substations ranging from 69kV to 500kV. You will create one-line and three-line diagrams and apply protection schemes for transformers and breakers.

Candidates should have 4–10+ years in protection and control for substations, a BS in Electrical Engineering, and experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation. PE license is a plus and familiarity with IEEE/ANSI/NESC/NEC standards is expected.

Qualifications

• 4–10+ years of protection and control engineering experience for electric utility substations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience designing protection and control drawings: schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, relay logic.
• Strong understanding of utility protection philosophies and relay applications.
• Familiarity with IEEE, ANSI, NESC, and NEC standards.
• Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar CAD tools.
• PE license a plus.

• Create one-line and three-line diagrams, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Apply protection schemes for transformers and breakers and collaborate with project teams.

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Experience designing protection & control drawings including schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and relay logic
• Strong understanding of utility protection philosophies and relay applications
• Familiarity with IEEE, ANSI, NESC, and NEC standards
• Experience using AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar engineering design software
• PE license (or the desire to obtain one) is a plus
