Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of experience as a licensed electrician.
  • Experience with medium- or high-voltage electrical systems.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and troubleshoot electrical equipment.
  • Skilled with electrical testing tools and hand tools.
  • Strong commitment to safety.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs., climb, and work in physically demanding environments.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair substation equipment and electrical systems up to 35kV.
  • Troubleshoot transformers, relays, motors, generators, and control systems.
  • Perform electrical testing using meters, megger, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Read and interpret schematics, one-line diagrams, and technical drawings.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including LOTO, grounding, switching, and PPE requirements.
  • Support outages, emergency response, and service restoration activities.

Substation Electrician - Brownsville, TX ($120/day per diem)

? What You'll Do
  • Install, maintain, and repair substation equipment and electrical systems up to 35kV .

  • Perform electrical testing using meters, meggers, and diagnostic equipment.

  • Read and interpret schematics, one-line diagrams, and technical drawings.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Orleans, LA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $55.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
