Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern for the Substation team in the East Region. This college internship offers hands-on experience in electrical engineering deliverables and collaboration across disciplines.

You will assist with analyses, drawings, and studies, gaining exposure to project schedules and data organization in an office setting. Enrollment in ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering program and a GPA of 3.0+ are typical prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering program.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
• No prior work experience required for internship eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing electrical engineering deliverables (reports, drawings, specifications, studies).
• Support engineering analyses, designs, and report production.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and help schedule project deliverables.
• Organize and evaluate data; use computer modeling to analyze systems.
• Maintain organized project materials and documentation.
