Mesa Associates, Inc. seeks an engineering intern to support substation design by developing high-quality packages for constructability across 34.5kV to 500kV in an in-office environment.

Candidates should pursue an AS or BS in engineering or a related field, have strong written and verbal communication, and be proficient with AutoCAD, which is a plus. This is a part-time internship with Winter 2026 and/or Summer 2027 opportunities.

• The successful candidate will be working toward an Associate of Science Degree (minimum) or Bachelor of Science Degree in a technically related field.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) are a requirement.
• The intern will work in an in-office, collaborative team environment to provide engineered design packages for constructability of power substations.

• Collaborate with engineering resources to produce design packages.
• Support constructability reviews for substations ranging from 34.5kV to 500kV.

The successful candidate will be working toward an Associate of Science Degree (minimum) or Bachelor of Science Degree in a technically related field. This intern will work closely with engineering resources in development of high-quality Substation design packages. Efficiency with AutoCAD is a plus. Strong communication skills (written and verbal) are a requirement. The successful candidate will work in an in-office, collaborative team environment to provide engineered design packages for constructability of Power Substations ranging in voltage levels from 34.5K to 500kV. This is a part-time position (up to 40 hours per week) for either Winter Break 2026 and/or Summer Break 2027.
