Job summary

Triumph Treatment Services is hiring a Substance Use Disorder Professional in Yakima, WA. This full-time clinical role requires ASAM alignment, group and individual counseling, and collaboration with treatment teams to support clients on their recovery journey.

You will assess, plan, and implement evidence-based care, document sessions, and coordinate with agencies while maintaining licensure and a strong safety culture. Eligible staff receive a $2,000 sign-on bonus and robust benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in and model healthy relationship skills while assessing treatment planning and counseling with clients in group and individual settings to provide a quality treatment experience.
  • Effectively communicate the client's needs, progress, problems, and recommendations to treatment teams and various agencies involved in their life.
  • Responsible for understanding and implementing essential elements of the ASAM assessment, placement process, objectives of individualized treatment planning as directed by ASAM criteria.
  • Responsible for providing education to clients and families through lectures, videos, written materials, and personalized media.
  • Document individual and group sessions, conduct case reviews to track progress, and ensure compliance with DOH and WAC requirements.
  • Know when to involve emergency services and coordinate with CPS or police if necessary.
  • Participate in team meetings and clinical trainings.
  • Maintain licensure and ensure up-to-date continuing education records.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education

High School diploma or GED
Associate degree in human services or related field
Bachelor’s experience and education related to the specific treatment needs of the various population is preferred

Position Summary

The Substance Use Disorder Professional position is responsible to counsel individuals requiring assistance in dealing with substance use disorder. This will be carried out in compliance with the agency's values, mission, and philosophy. ASAM Criteria, WAC requirements, adherence to the clinical manual.

RESPONSIBLITIES
  • Engage in and model healthy relationship skills while assessing treatment planning and counseling with clients in group and individual settings to provide a quality treatment experience.
  • Effectively communicate the client's needs, progress, problems, and recommendations to treatment teams and various agencies involved in their life. May need to represent the client in court when necessary.
  • Responsible for understanding and implementing essential elements of the ASAM assessment, placement process, objectives of individualized treatment planning as directed by ASAM criteria, and the essential elements of the ASAM continuous stay criteria.
  • Responsible for providing effective and concise education to clients and families through lectures, videos, written materials, and personalized media.
  • Responsible for documenting individual and group sessions, conducting case reviews to track clients' progress, and ensuring compliance with DOH and WAC requirements and timeliness.
  • Accurately assess the importance of providing support during times of acute emotional or physical distress knowing when to call in including but not limited to 911 or DCR.
  • Knowledge of when to fulfill the legal obligations of emergency management, which may include involvement with CPS and reporting to the police.
  • Understand how to make appropriate and effective referrals and recommendations.
  • Participate in team meetings and clinical trainings.
  • Complete requirements and keep licensure current and ensure up-to-date and accurate record-keeping for all continuing education requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • An associate degree in human services or related field
  • A Bachelor’s experience and education related to the specific treatment needs of the various population is preferred.
