Job summary

Zion Integrated Behavioral Health Services in Atlantic, Iowa is seeking a compassionate Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join our growing team. This full-time, in-person position focuses on assessments, treatment planning, and delivering both individual and group counseling.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field required.
• Must be eligible to obtain a Temporary CADC (T-CADC) within 90 days of hire.
• Must obtain a CADC within one year of hire.
• Zion will cover the cost of required credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct substance use disorder assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide individual and group counseling services.
• Facilitate discharge planning and continuing care recommendations.
• Make clinical recommendations based on client needs.
• Follow ASAM criteria and evidence-based treatment practices; maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with referral sources, community partners, and treatment team members.
• Support clients in achieving recovery goals and improving overall wellness.

Work Location & Schedule

• Full-time position (40 hours per week)
