Smith Staffing Services has an immediate need for a contract position at one of our clients in the Hartford County, Maryland area.

We have a long‑term contract in Bel Air, MD for a Substance Abuse Counselor requiring LCADC, LCSW-C, or LCPC. The assignment offers flexible hours of up to 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling
• Perform assessments and intakes
• Conduct urinalysis screenings and secure insurance authorizations
• Offer casework services and complete comprehensive dependency assessments in a timely fashion

Qualifications

All applicants must be fully licensed counselors in the state of MD (i.e. LCADC, LCSW-C, or LCPC) and must pass drug screening and a background check.

The main purpose is to counsel clients with substance abuse disorder(s) or co‑occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders through individual, group, and family counseling sessions.
