Management & Training Corporation is seeking a supervisor of substance abuse counseling to oversee and coordinate counseling activities for offenders in Texas. You will plan, implement, and evaluate counseling services, ensuring program compliance with MTC and TDCJ directives.
The role requires directing staff, providing counseling and training, maintaining records, and coordinating team meetings to support rehabilitation and reduction of re-offense risk.
Pay: $22.00 an hour

Status: Full Time, 8hrs, Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
Reports to the program director. Directly supervises substance abuse counselor I and treatment specialists. Performs highly complex substance abuse counseling. Work involves planning, coordinating, and implementing substance abuse counseling activities to ensure the maximum utilization of resources available for chemical dependency treatment and rehabilitation in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) directives.
It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED. Current licensure as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) or current valid certification as a Certified Criminal Justice Professional (CCJP) as approved by the Texas Certification Board of Addition Professionals, or current valid Qualified Credentialed Counselor (QCC) license to provide substance abuse treatment. Valid driver’s license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
Must complete preservice program and annual training requirements. Must successfully pass an annual background check, both of which must be approved by TDCJ. Must pass drug screen.
