Job summary

McIntosh Trail Community Service Board is seeking staff who will under supervision develop and implement behavior management and skills acquisition plans for clients with behavioral health needs. The role includes completing assessments to determine service appropriateness and monitoring progress against treatment goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university OR certification as an addiction counselor from the Georgia Addiction Counselors Association (GACA) or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates clients' physical or mental condition based on review of client's information.
• Maintain confidentiality of records relating to client's treatment.
• Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress according to measurable goals described in treatment and care plan.
• Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports.
• Provides training to direct staff in implementing behavior modification techniques.
• Trains to collect information about clients through interviews, observation, and tests.
• Executes evidence-based counseling groups designed to enlighten clients on prevention and perpetuation of learned techniques, strategies, and interventions to maintain stability.
• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
