Job Description:

This position will serve as a substance use disorder (SUD) Harm Reduction Coordinator for the division under the CDC Overdose Data to Action grant. The coordinator will oversee existing, and assist with implementing new, SUD harm reduction strategies statewide. The individual will work with both internal and external stakeholders to align existing projects/activities, manage new projects/initiatives, and work as part of the overall harm reduction statewide strategy. Primary responsibility includes: Co-Chair and staff the Harm Reduction Subcommittee of the state’s Addiction Action Committee, Develop a statewide SUD harm reduction strategic plan (including priority initiatives and short-term/long-term goals) in cooperation with the subcommittee, Develop plans for expanding harm reduction initiatives in alignment with available funding and partnerships (including project and meeting management, data collection/reporting, cross agency/stakeholder coordination and management), and all other harm reduction projects and related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Two years’ experience in Behavioral Health administration (policy, procedure, operational plan implementation, direction of activities for behavioral health programs, service.
• Understanding of existing SUD harm reduction strategies and best practices.
