Job summary

Harbor Behavioral Health Center in Maryland seeks a compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to manage a patient caseload and guide recovery from addiction. You will develop and apply treatment plans, provide support to clients and families, and connect individuals with available resources.

The ideal candidate has LCADC/LGADC/CAC-AD/CSC-AD licenses and strong communication, empathy, and collaboration skills; bilingual candidates are preferred to reach diverse clients.

Qualifications

• Licenses/certifications required: LCADC, LGADC, CAC-AD or CSC-AD.
• Bilingual candidates preferred to support diverse client base.
• Experience working with addiction/abuse treatment settings is expected.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team! As a Substance Abuse Counselor on the team, you will be handling a manageable caseload of patients looking to you for treatment and help to overcome a wide variety of addiction issues. Your role will be to support and uplift your clients, offering resources and support for them, creating and implementing treatment options, and identifying core issues that could be contributing to their abuse. The ideal candidate is compassionate, has excellent communication skills, and has experience working with people struggling with addiction and abuse.

• Create and implement treatment plans that fit each patient
