Job summary

The Brighton Center Inc. in Michigan is seeking an MCBAP Certified Substance Abuse Counselor to join our clinical team.

You will manage a caseload of patients, identify core issues, and develop and implement personalized treatment plans while supporting clients and their families toward lasting recovery.

The ideal candidate is compassionate with strong communication skills and experience in substance abuse, and will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care.

Qualifications

  • MCBAP certification required; Developmental Plan not considered.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with substance abuse desirable.

Job Summary

We are seeking a MCBAP Certified Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team! As a Substance Abuse Counselor on the team, you will be handling a manageable caseload of patients looking to you for treatment and help to overcome a wide variety of addiction issues. Your role will be to support and uplift your clients, offering resources and support for them, creating and implementing treatment options, and identifying core issues that could be contributing to their abuse. The ideal candidate is compassionate, has excellent communication skills, and has experience working with people struggling with addiction and abuse.

  • Create and implement treatment plans that fit each patient

Qualifications
  • MCBAP certification required (unable to consider persons with a Developmental Plan)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong compassionate outlook, with an upbeat and positive personality
  • Experience working with substance abuse desired
