Illumination Health + Home seeks a Substance Abuse Counselor to provide compassionate client services in shelters and recuperative care facilities. The role uses a harm-reduction approach to support individuals with substance issues.
Compensation is $27 per hour with Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm shifts. Requirements include a high school diploma, CA-certified substance use counselor credentials, and two years’ experience with homeless populations; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Homelessness is the largest social and public health crisis in California. Illumination Health + Home is a growing non‑profit organization dedicated towards disrupting the cycle of homelessness by providing targeted, interdisciplinary services in our recuperative care centers, emergency shelters, housing services and children's and family programs. IF currently has 13+ facilities with 22+ micro‑communities scattered across Orange County, Los Angeles County and the Inland Empire.

Harm reduction brings substance misuse into the realm of mainstream health care and releases it from the clutches of the criminal justice system and from programs that preach zero tolerance for substancemisuse.
The pay offered for this role is$27 per hour.
The schedule for this role is Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.
